American Elite Artist Association International Music Competition for Piano & String

Rules & Regulations:

The competition is in TWO rounds:

1st round: 10 minutes max

Results: April 15, 2023

2nd round: Public final (up to 20 minutes)

Date: April 16, 2023

Location: 601 W Plano Pkwy, Plano, TX 75075

Prize giving ceremony will be followed by the winner’s concert on April 16, 2023, at 7 pm.

Who can Apply

The competition is open to young musicians of all nationalities, up to 30 years of age, at the time of the competition. There are three categories:

- Piano

- Violin

- Cello

Prize

For each category:

First, Second and Third Place: Trophy

Fourth, Fifth, Sixth Place, and Honorable Mention: Ribbon

Grand Prize Winners: $150

Repertoire

The program is a free choice of any style for an entire piece, a selection of pieces, or a selection of movements, and it has to be a different program in the 1st and final rounds. Details of composers and titles of the pieces and movements must be written in the application form. Please note that contemporary works involving pre-adjustment of the piano will not be accepted, nor will the contestant's compositions. 

Piano accompanist for Strings

There are three official professional accompanists in the competition. The fee is $50 for the rehearsals and performances and must be paid in advance. This fee is not refundable in case of canceling after the deadline or not passing the final round. Alternatively, competitors can also bring their pianists at their own expense. Please note, if choosing the official accompanist, you must send the music in advance in PDF format to aeaa@americaneliteartistassociation.org

Sheet Music

All competitors must bring one copy for the jury and the piano parts for the accompanist. All competitors must use the copyrighted sheet music.

Jury

1st round:

The associative office will evaluate the competitors' performance. Board decisions are final and not to be discussed. The votes and opinions of the bureau are strictly confidential, and the bureau members will not be able to provide feedback on the candidate's performance.

Final:

During the final on April 16, 2023, in US Texas, the jury will be made up of international personalities from the musical world. The jury's president has the casting vote in the event of a tie. The decisions of the jury are final and indisputable. The Jury reserves the right not to award the Prize if it does not meet competition standards.

The final jury list will be announced on March 1, 2023.

Application Process

Please transfer the entry fee of $100 with the piano accompanist fee of $50 (if applicable).

Send the following documents:

-Proof of payment

-Copy of Passport or ID

-Profile photo for the program. (JPEG format file and rename the file under your name)

Please note that the application form will not be accepted and completed without proof of payment. After the deadline, the entry fee or accompanist fee will not be refundable.

Terms & Disclaimer

1. Participants are responsible for their expenses.
2. Parents or legal guardians will be responsible for children under 18 years old and must be supervised all the time by their parents or legal guardians during the winners’ recital. The competition is not responsible for any damage or theft during the winners’ recital.
3. The AEAA music competition reserves the right to make any changes in the rules, schedules, or other information related to the competition.
4. The contestant grants AEAA Music Competition the right to use their name, images, and video recordings for publicity and promotional purposes relating to the competition in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, without further compensation, unless prohibited by law. By participating in the competition, contestants automatically waive all rights to any material (financial) remuneration regarding the eventual publication and distribution of music video recordings on media publications and the Internet.
5. The AEAA Competition reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any applicant found to be:
(a) violating the AEAA Music Competition Policy and Competition Rules;
(b) tampering or attempting to tamper with the entry process or the operation of the Competition;
(c) violating the terms of guidelines of the AEAA Music Competition;
(d) acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner or intending to annoy, abuse, threaten, or harass any other person.
